A conference titled The uncertain future of global economic integration was held in Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Center, Reykjavik, Iceland on 14-15 September 2017. The conference was jointly organised by the Reinventing Bretton Woods Committee and the Central Bank of Iceland. Governor interviewed by Bloomberg in Japan

Last weekend, Governor Már Guðmundsson attended a Bank for International Settlements (BIS) meeting of central bank governors in Tokyo. Following the meeting, the Governor and Hannes Heimisson, Iceland’s ambassador to Japan, met with Mr. Nobuteru Ishihara, Japanese Minister of State for Economic and Fiscal Policy, and with Board members of the Japanese-Icelandic Chamber of Commerce.
