The effects of the financial crisis on Icelandic households
The Central Bank of Iceland has published the preliminary findings of a work group of Bank staff who compiled and analysed data on the effects of the financial crisis on households' financial position.
The accompanying document contains the work group's preliminary findings. The analysis is based on a database of financial information on households, which the Central Bank has compiled in collaboration with financial institutions, with permission from the Data Protection Authority. Further findings will be published in the near future.
