Informational Report no. 5 on BoP standards
In September 2014, the Central Bank of Iceland published statistics on the balance of payments and international investment position of the economy according to new standards. International Monetary Fund Annual Meetings 2014
The Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the meeting of the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) were held in Washington, DC, on 10-12 October. Már Guðmundsson, Governor of the Central Bank of Iceland and Iceland’s representative to the Board of Governors of the IMF, attended the meetings. The Nordic-Baltic Constituency’s speech for the Annual Meeting was delivered by Bank of Finland Governor Erkki Liikanen. The Constituency’s representative on the IMFC was Finnish Minister of Finance Antti Rinne.

New agreement on insurance contracts providing for saving abroad
The Central Bank of Iceland has entered into an agreement regarding contracts offered by the German insurance company Bayern Versicherung to its customers in Iceland; cf. the Rules on Foreign Exchange, no. 565/2014.
