The Central Bank of Iceland raises its interest rates (and submitted a report to the Government)

The Board of Governors of the Central Bank of Iceland has decided to raise the Bank’s policy interest rate by 0.5 percentage points as of February 22, 2005, from 8.25% to 8.75%.

Standard & Poor's raises Iceland's foreign currency sovereign rating

Standard & Poor's Ratings Services today announced that it has raised its long-term foreign currency sovereign credit rating on the Republic of Iceland to AA- from A+.
