Real exchange rate of the Icelandic krona was 89,8 points in April, an increase of 1.5% compared to the preceding month. The real exchange rate index measured by relative consumer prices for April 2023 was 0.4% lower compared to the same month in the previous year.
Quarterly index of the real exchange rate measured by relative consumer prices was 87.1 points in the first quarter of 2023 (2005=100), which is 0.7% lower compared to fourth quarter of 2022.
Quarterly index of the real exchange rate measured by relative labor cost was 89.2 points in the fourth quarter of 2022 (2005 = 100), a decrease by 0.3% compared to third quarter of 2022. Figures for first quarter of 2023 will be published in June when relevant data on this will be available.
