Total financial assets of the financial institutions stood at 19,097.5 b.kr., at the end of 4th quarter of 2022, an increase of287.5 b.kr. from the last quarter. The main changes between quarters are that shares and other equity increased by 205.2 b.kr. and loans increased by 133.9 b.kr. Total liabilities of financial corporations amounted to 19,272.7 b.kr and increased by 289.4 b.kr. in the quarter. The main changes are an increase in shares and other equity by 98.6 b.kr. and an increase in insurance technical reserves by 200.8 b.kr. net financial liabilities amounted to 175.3 b.kr. at the end of 4th quarter of 2022.
Households’ loans from Financial Corporations at the end of 4th quarter of 2022 stood at 2,899.4 b.kr. thereof 2,415.7 b.kr. in mortgage loans. Non-financial corporations’ loans from Financial Corporations stood at 2,320 b.kr. Non-financial Corporations’ securities owned by Financial Corporations stood at 481.3 b.kr. at the end of 4th quarter of 2022.
The financial accounts are published as a total balance sheet for financial corporations but also by sectors and counter parties.
Time series are published for all financial corporations and also by sectors. The time series for non-financial corporations´ debt to financial corporations show the debts classified by type of lenders and by type of loans. It also includes non-financial corporations´ securities owned by financial corporations. The time series for household debts show the debts classified by lenders and by type of loans. It also includes mortgage loans classified by type.
The financial accounts are published according to the European System of Accounts (ESA2010) and The International Monetary Fund´s standard for monetary and financial statistics.
