Monetary Policy Committee meeting with Parliamentary Economic Affairs and Trade Committee

Representatives of the Central Bank of Iceland Monetary Policy Committee attended an open meeting of the Parliamentary Economic Affairs and Trade Committee on 18 September. Már Guðmundsson, Governor and Chair of the Monetary Policy Committee, and MPC member Katrín Ólafsdóttir represented the Committee at the meeting.

The Act on the Central Bank of Iceland stipulates that the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Central Bank of Iceland shall submit to Parliament (Althingi) a report on its activities twice a year and that the contents of the report shall be discussed in the Parliamentary committee of the Speaker’s choosing. The MPC’s sixteenth meeting with Parliament was held on Tuesday 18 September 2018.
