Publication and presentation of interest rate decision
Tomorrow, Wednesday 16 May, the Central Bank of Iceland will publish the Monetary Policy Committee’s interest rate decision. A short press release will be published on the Bank’s website at 08:55 hrs. Monetary Bulletin 2012/2 will be published on the Bank’s website at 09:00 hrs.At a press conference beginning at 10:30 hrs., Már Guðmundsson, Governor of the Central Bank and Chairman of the Monetary Policy Committee, and Þórarinn G. Pétursson, Chief Economist and Monetary Policy Committee member, will explain the rationale behind the interest rate decision.
