IMF mission visit to Iceland 8-19 December 2014
A mission from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) under the leadership of mission chief Peter Dohlman concluded a two-week visit to Iceland today. The Fund conducts regular appraisals of member countries’ economies under Article IV of its Articles of Agreement. A report containing the mission’s findings will be issued following discussion by the Fund’s Executive Board. The mission is also an element in the Post-Programme monitoring of Iceland’s Stand-By Arrangement with the IMF, which concluded in August 2011. Meetings were held with the authorities, members of Parliament, the university community, private sector representatives, and the social partners.
The Fund has published the mission’s concluding statement containing the highlights of the past two weeks’ discussions on its website.
