Mr. Birgir Ísleifur Gunnarsson re-appointed Governor and Chairman of the Board of Governors
The current term of Mr. Birgir Ísleifur Gunnarsson as Governor and Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Central Bank of Iceland expires at the end of January 2003. The Prime Minister has re-appointed Mr. Gunnarsson as Governor and Chairman of the Board of Governors for the period from February 1, 2003 until the end of July 2006.
Mr. Gunnarsson has been Governor of the Central Bank since 1991 and Chairman of the Board of Governors since 1994.
