Economic Indicators 30 September 2016

The Central Bank of Iceland’s Economic Indicators report for September 2016 has been released and can be found here on the Bank’s website. The publication contains information on developments in prices, output, external trade, the labour market, public sector finances, asset markets, and the financial market. The information is published in chart form, and underlying data can be called up in spreadsheet format.

Presentation on the financial cycle at an international conference in the Philippines

Last week, Thorvardur Tjörvi Ólafsson, Senior Economist at the Central Bank of Iceland, gave a presentation in Manila at the 6th International Research Conference of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. The title of the conference was 6th BSP International Research Conference - Revisiting macro-financial linkages: Looking back and looking ahead.

The Central Bank of Iceland has sent the Government a report on inflation below the lower deviation limit of the inflation target

The Central Bank of Iceland has sent the Government a report on inflation below the lower deviation limit of the inflation target. This is the second time since the adoption of the inflation target that inflation has fallen below the lower limit set forth in the joint declaration made by the Government and the Central Bank of Iceland on 27 March 2001, which defined the inflation target and deviation limits.
