Economic Indicators for December 2004 published

The December 2004 edition of Economic Indicators has now been published on this website. Economic Indicators is the Central Bank of Iceland's monthly snapshot, in tables and charts with English text, of Iceland's macroeconomic position and financial markets.

Central Bank Collections in a Small Society

Eiríkur Guðnason, Governor of the Central Bank of Iceland, gave a speech on central bank collections in Iceland at a meeting held by the European Association of Banking and Financial History in Lisbon earlier this month. In his speech, he said that even though the Central Bank of Iceland is only 43 years old, its collection activities have gained recognition in Iceland and elsewhere.

Working Paper: Out in the cold' Iceland's trade performance outside the EU

In its Working Paper Series, the Central Bank of Iceland has now published a paper by Francis Breedon and Thórarinn G. Pétursson with the title: Out in the cold' Iceland's trade performance outside the EU.
